Financial Aid Information

Are you receiving student financial aid?

If you are currently receiving financial aid and are named a Mary Gates scholar, it is possible that you may not receive the full amount of your scholarship. Recipients of need-based aid cannot receive funds from any source in excess of their calculated financial need. In most cases, a Mary Gates award will provide for any unmet need or reduce the amount of other aid you have (usually any unearned work study and/or undisbursed loans will be affected first).

Undergraduate Academic Affairs and the Office of Student Financial Aid are committed to working with you to offer you the maximum benefit of your award allowable under state and federal student financial aid policies and regulations.

We recommend that you visit a counselor in the Office of Student Financial Aid to determine the potential impact on your current aid package should you receive a Mary Gates Endowment for Students scholarship.

The Office of Student Financial Aid is located on the first floor of Schmitz Hall in room 105. Drop-in hours are from 10am to 5pm weekdays. If you plan a drop-in visit, please bear in mind that the office lines are busiest at the beginning of the day, the week, and the quarter.
